Description
Padua is a city that was inhabited by the Venetians since the dawn of time. Nevertheless, the city experienced interesting and unexpected mingling of cultures and traditions, which endowed the city with no less than two UNESCO sites. With this private guided tour you will be able to admire some of the city's main sites, such as the famous Caffè Pedrocchi, called "without doors" because it was open night and day and a meeting point for intellectuals from all over Italy; the famous square of Prato della Valle, which is the fifth largest square in Europe. Giotto's presence endowed the famous Scrovegni Chapel with a very important cycle of frescoes that you will have the opportunity to discover during this tour. The frescoes in the Chapel are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, due to their uniqueness and intense colouring.
